Deities
| As our beloved Guruji, HH Sri V.V. Sridhar says, we must be blessed with good health in abundance – to be materialistically successful and also to enjoy our material prosperity.
Sri Sai Amrutha Narayana Sarveswaralayam, the first temple based on the Prayoga Shastra in modern times has this key aspect in its conception. This temple was formally opened on Feb 5, 2009, with Vigraha Pratishta and Khumbabishekam performed in July 2009. In this Sarveswaralayam, we have Sri Mahaganapathy, in the Nairuthi Sthanam (South West) blessing one and all in all their endeavors. Sri Sai Amrutha Narayana, the presiding deity of the temple, is sitting in the Varuna Sthanam (West) which is also called as Rishi Sthanam. Here we have Baba in black stone, which is very rare, the first in USA and may be the 3rd or 4th in the world. We have specially made this Vigraham in black stone so that more and more abhishekams can be done for the welfare of one and all. This idol is purely “Amrutham” concept, giving all good health, wealth, peace and prosperity. Facing Baba, we have Nandiand Balipeetam. Devotees bow at the Bali Peetham to surrender their entire ego and seek the blessings of Amrutha Narayana through the total concentration of Nandiswara. In the Vayu Sthanam (North West) is the Maha Lingeshwara swamy (Lord Siva) with Guru Padhukain the front. This Vayu lingam is a rare one given to Guruji by a Yogi in the Himalayas. After aradhana for 8 years, Guruji graciously did the Linga Pratishta in our Sai Temple in May 2010. Facing south, sitting in the Kubera Sthanam (North) is Sri Mruthyunjaya Bhairava. Lord Bhairava is a very unique and beautiful form of Lord Shiva, blessing all with good health and longevity. In the Eashanya (North East) are the Navagrahas (Nine Planets). The uniqueness of our Navagrahas in this temple is that all the Grahas are sitting with their consorts on their respective vahanas. Extremely powerful, these Navagrahas help us all to lead our daily lives in harmony. In the Agni sthanam (South East) , we have Sri Ayyappa and Sri Subramanyeshwara with Sri Valli and Sri Devasena. People aspiring for children will be certainly blessed with progeny, once they pray to the lord in this particular form. Lord Venkateswara, facing north majestically sits next to Sri Kurmanarayana Swamy blessing one and all with material prosperity. In Dwarakamai, the small shrine which also house Dhuni, has a full-size Sai Baba Moorthy in white marble. We also have a small but very powerful Runavimochana Ganapathy, and Lord Hanuman, as well as Guru Padhukas. To the North we have the Prayoga Yagna Kundam, designed specially for performing the Prayoga Yagnams, which help cleanse the environment from all kinds of impurities. As our beloved Guruji says, “each of us should reach the pinnacles of success in our day-to-day life, to be able to turn towards spiritual needs.” We pray that all are blessed with plenty and live a successful life as their heart desires. |
